Our Senior Pastor
Rogan Taylor is a seventh generation "white" African of Scottish & English roots. His forefather, David Taylor having moved from England to the Cape Province of South Africa in 1840. In 1960, when age 2, Pastor Rogan moved with his family to Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). He did all his primary and secondary education in Salisbury (now Harare). He served in the
British South Africa Police with the Mounted Division from 1977 to 1978.
Pastor Rogan trained for pastoral ministry in Johannesburg, South Africa and graduated with a Bachelor in Theology in 1982. He married his wife, Caroline, in 1980.
Pastor Rogan pastored 4 churches prior to New Hope in Zimbabwe and New Zealand. He has 4 children; Brett (28), serving as Senior Pastor in South Africa; Amy (24) married to Adam (27) - both studying at grad. school & seminary; Nicole (22) is at grad. school and Emma (20) is at college.
Pastor Rogan moved from Gweru, Zimbabwe to South Fork, Colorado with Caroline and his two daughters, Nicole & Emma (the two eldest having already left home). He started as Pastor of New Hope Church on January 1st, 2007 and is now in his fifth year of ministry here.
